It’s natural to think about goals, resolutions, and what you want to change as we approach a new year. But before jumping into doing more, this is your invitation to pause to reflect, release, and realign.

This is your time to reconnect and ask yourself what am I ready to leave behind and what do I want to carry forward?

Grab a journal and a quiet space and let these prompts guide you.

Step 1: Reflect

Before you look forward, take time to look back. Reflection gives you perspective and helps you see how far you’ve come and recognize what’s already working. Here are some prompts to help you realign:

  • What feels different about me now compared to this time last year?

  • Where did I surprise myself in my capacity to heal or stay consistent?

  • Which daily habits, practices, or relationships have felt most nourishing to my body and spirit?

  • What did my body teach me this year that I want to remember?

Step 2: Release

As we grow, not everything is meant to come with us. Releasing helps clear emotional, mental, and energetic space for what’s next. This is where you get honest about what no longer serves you. Here are some prompts to help you release:

  • What habits, thought patterns, or routines are no longer aligned with the person I’m becoming?

  • What stories am I ready to stop telling myself about my body, health, or healing?

  • What emotions or experiences do I need to feel and release before I can move forward?

  • What’s one boundary I need to strengthen to protect my energy in the new year?

Step 3: Realign

Once you’ve reflected and released, it’s time to realign and to consciously choose how you want to feel, act, and show up in the year ahead. Here are some prompts to help you realign:

  • What do I want to feel in my body and mind this coming year?

  • What’s my word or theme for the new year? (Examples: ease, vitality, trust, alignment)

  • What does “thriving” look like for me in the year ahead?
