When this client first came to us, she was struggling daily with digestive issues and skin reactions. Bloating, stomach aches, diarrhea, and food sensitivities had become constant and on top of that, she had started losing her hair. After meals she’d break out in red, blotchy rashes and relied on Benadryl just to calm the reactions. Zyrtec and Flonase had become part of her everyday routine to keep her allergy symptoms at bay. She suspected food was to blame, but when we ran a gut panel the picture became much clearer.

Her stool test showed:

  • H. pylori infection

  • Overgrowths of opportunistic aka “bad” bacteria

  • Low stomach acid

  • Sluggish estrogen detox pathways in the gut with elevated beta-glucuronidase, which can also worsen histamine-related reactions like rashes and food sensitivities

  • Markers of inflammation and immune activation in response to food, especially gluten

This wasn’t just a food issue. Her gut, hormones, and immune system were all in the mix. Over the past six months working with our team, she was able to see drastic changes in her health. Based on testing we are able to get targeted with a personalized treatment protocol that included:

  • Antimicrobials to address bacterial overgrowths

  • Digestive support like apple cider vinegar and bitters to improve digestion and stomach acid

  • Mineral replenishment to restore balance

  • Estrogen detoxification and histamine supportive tools including castor oil packs, calcium D-glucarate, and quercetin-rich foods

She also made lifestyle adjustments through going gluten free, cut back on alcohol, and focusing more on overall self-care and body support. The transformation was remarkable. Within the first month she was using Benadryl less frequently. By month two her skin was clearer, her digestion more stable, her hair loss had slowed, and she felt more energized. By month three she told us she was using fewer allergy supports than she had in eight years! This client continued working with us for several more months to optimize her health and reach a place of stability and confidence in continuing this journey on her own. During that time, she saw ongoing improvements across her digestion, energy, and overall well-being.

Her story highlights that gut healing isn’t just about cutting foods, it’s about addressing root causes. When those foundations are addressed, the ripple effects can improve digestion, hormones, and total body health. With the right plan and consistent effort, lasting results are absolutely possible.
